Justice is a gorgeous, white, male German Shepherd Dog.  He is approximately 3-4 years old and currently weighs around 75 pounds but is underweight and should weigh around 90 pounds.  Justice has a malformation in his left, front leg.  X-rays revealed that the bone was broken at some point earlier in his life that was not set.  This does not have any impact on his mobility and he is active and playful and walks and runs without any issues.

He has a low energy level and is crate-trained and housebroken.  He is good with kids and other dogs but has not been thoroughly cat-tested.  MTGSR pulled him from Sumner County Animal Control in Gallatin, TN.

ADOPTION: Training (for both the dog and the family) increases the probability of a successful adoption. We feel strongly that training is an essential part of responsible dog ownership and we now require training for every dog placed through the MTGSR program.

The cost of adoption is $500 which includes the $250 adoption fee and a training fee of $250 due at the time of adoption.

For the adoption fee, the dog will be spayed/neutered, current on all vaccinations, current on heartworm/flea-tick preventatives and microchipped.

The training fee will include a plan tailored to that specific dog and that dog's needs (obedience training, behavior modification, etc.).

PLEASE NOTE: Our philosophy is “Rescue locally, place locally” which means we primarily pull dogs from shelters in the Nashville area AND we prefer to place our dogs in homes within a one-hour drive of Nashville. If you are outside of the Nashville area, please consider adopting a homeless dog in your local community.
